Haitian Outreach Fall 2026 Update
Dear Supporters of Haitian Outreach:
As students return to school in Haiti, Haitian Outreach, and the Sisters of Queen Mary Immaculate would like to thank our sponsors, donors, volunteers, the Leclerc Fund and Lynch Foundation for their continued support. Please know that your gesture of faith changes a child’s life path forever!
Despite the roadblocks caused by gang violence and political instability, we continue fighting to give our young scholars a path out of systemic poverty. By transitioning from physical shipping to direct funding, we bypass these obstacles to empower the next generation of working-class leaders and professionals in their home country of Haiti.
Education remains our main focus. We have expanded our mission to include food insecurity with the creation of Larry’s Food Fund and capital improvement projects at the schools operated by the sisters.
Time is flying! As we begin our beautiful fall season, we remember that our students in Haiti are starting school. Pray for their safety.
Tuition/Rice Money
Money for our students has been wired to the bank in Haiti where Sister Cadet receives and distributes to five schools. This is not an easy task, and we pray that it will be safely delivered to our sponsored students, who are in great need.
We thank and bless all sponsors who bear with Haitian Outreach and continue to sponsor new children.
Academic News
In addition, to primary school children, University Students are also returning to classes. We have communicated with all of them. Immaculee is starting her fifth and last year of Dental Hygienestudies. She hopes to graduate next year. We are so proud of these students and their accomplishments.
Haitian Outreach had 17 Students who graduated from HS in 2025 and 11 this past June. Check out Theirry’s story on Instagram.
Capital Improvements:
Thanks to a generous grant received from the Lynch Foundation, the Coteaux School in southern Haiti has a new “Toilet Block” with flush toilets and sinks with running water. Coteaux school previously had only an outhouse for 600 students. Sister Meridith, the principle, and the children are grateful for the new Wish list for future capital improvements: a new classroom to replace one that was destroyed in a hurricane at Coteaux school. Solar power for all the schools which are run by the sisters.

Larry’s Food Fund
Haitian Outreach recently had a “Bake Sale” at St. Bernard Parish for Larry’s food fund. It was a tremendous success! The parish’s generosity netted over $1400.00 towards our goal to raise $15,000 for Larry’s food fund. We brought in $1482.00. Sister Marianne and Sister Cadet want to thank all who baked for us and donated to help sustain their student’s feeding programs and make this fund raiser a success! Larry’s food fund feeds 600 children at Damassin and two hundred students’ breakfast at Lilavois. Thank you to those who took the reins and steered us to success!

We have 12 students in need of sponsorship this year. If you know anyone who can give a little to help a child get an education in Haiti, please have them contact us.
We will be sending photos of the students in our Holiday cards and hope that you enjoy receiving them as much as we do. A picture is worth a thousand words!
Recently, statistics came out (which we sent out on Instagram) revealing that over 1,000 schools have closed in Haiti. Our mission is even more important than ever. We congratulate you on being a part of this program.
It is such a blessing to give a child the gift of education and see them grow and blossom.
